May be I have to much time on my hands. Here is waht I am thinking. The TTB Dana 50 Is a HP just like the TTB 44. Could I rotate the center chunk on the Ford 9 inch 180 Degrees and a dana 50 Ring gear to create A high 9 or should I just go Shell out the Cash For a Currie or High 9 Center section.

The D50 is a 9 inch Ring gear

The real strength of the ford 9" ring and pinion is the hypoid gear section. the contact patch is far larger between the ring gear and pinion gear than the D50 or even D60 designs. Having said that it would be cool to see what you could do with such a morph. good luck

x2, you can't just throw in any old centersection and gears together.

NO, NO, and NO!:shaking: Tomorrow is Tuesday. This just keeps coming up. You can not "flip" any diff and turn it into a HP. They are COMPLETELY different. :homer:

lol...

Dana gears work with dana gears........ but you have to remember that a dana 44 is a dana 44, and you cant take a ring gear from ANY OTHER GEARSET and mix/match it. just doesnt work that way. even among common brands, or any other changes.

dana 44 3.54 gears will only work with the SAME ring AND pinion. In other words, these are matched sets. you cant mix and match. no way, no how.
