Im looking at kits to convert my 95 to hydoboost brakes. I have 35" on it and the brakes are just too soft feeling. All the kits I find are just plain expensive. I think that the 2500 and 3500 88-98 trucks had hydroboost but can this system bolt on to a 1500?

I put a dana 60 and 14 bolt ff under my blazer and added the hydroboost master cylinder, proportioning valve, and pump it worked great! they would hold back anything... well... anything reasonable...

So the 2500-3500 hydroboost stuff just bolts right up to the existing mount. I suppose you didnt bother with ABS then?

I used a older caddy eldorado or fleetwood Hydro boost unit and a corvette style master. The MC should be 1-1/8" to 1-1/4" in size. Stops me with 39.5" using discs all the way around. I did not use a proportioning valve just an adjustable valve for the rear brakes only. Get a pump with an extra port on the tank for the bypass line or you can tee into the existing line.

the hydroboost I used is out of an 86 1 ton went into a 86 blazer no abs in either. everything bolted right up no issues
