guys i could get a ZJ tie rod for CAD $ 234

or i could get a 1.25" O.D. x 5/16" wall DOM alloy seamless tubing. Price is CDN$ 219.
That includes two brand new MOPAR tie rod ends (from a Dodge Ram Charger - bigger but still work with stock knuckles), jamb nuts, boots, castle nuts, cotter pins, grease nipples, and the tie -rod.
(EVERYTHING you need to bolt it in place of the one you got).

which of the 2 looks better and stronger?

i'm not sure of the wall thickness of the ZJ rod.

help would be appreciated.

Uhhh, my ZJ tie rod IS rod stock. I think it's 1" OD if I recall correctly. I am not sure if the V8 hardware is beefier than the I6 stuff. I think it is, but I can't recall.

Ok, I hate to say it, but I would not spend any time trying to beef the stock steering setup. After putting some custom bends in my tie rod, I went the challenger aluminum route. Good, but it still didn't address the bump toe and swaybar interference (I am at 7" or so). After going crossover, I am finally not scared to drive the heep anymore. It's that good.

the "1.25" O.D. x 5/16" wall DOM alloy seamless tubing. Price is CDN$ 219" looks like it would be allot stronger.

My .02 cents,
