I was wondering what the best prices are for a good used NV4500. I would need the dodge version to put behind my 2.5L in a YJ. Parts Mike has them listed for $1848 new. That may be an option down the road. I was just wondering what some of you guys picked up a good used on for? Thanks

When I did this, after I priced a decent used tranny PLUS having to buy all the adapters and shit separately, I was only ending up like $200 less than a package with the NEW tranny. I decided that a new tranny w/warrantee was probably worth the $200 more and got it. YMMV.

I bought my 4500 (chev version) + adapter + Toy xfer + bellhousing + flywheel + complete hydro clutch system with clutch for a mere $1k :D

Thanks guys, i was hoping to find a used one for like 800-1K and just buy the bellhousing to adapt it to the 2.5. I could then use the money saved from buying a new one,around $900 to by the 23 spline Tera low for the 231. I may not go that route. I will probably be patient, find a good used or remanned 4500 & get the 4.3 Atlas. I would never have to worry about tranny/tcase problems again. Then if i ever went v8 everything would still be strong. If i can save enough, i may just get the new 4500 & atlas.
