How much you want to spend?

Cheap Caldwell from Midway USA are often on sale for between $19.99-$25.99

Peltors thin line rocks - but is pricey. Some come with a headphone jack so you can rock out while shooting - just depends on budget and features.

I won some "NRA" ones at a NRA banquet, and they are awesome.

They let you hear when you need too, but keep you from going deaf when shooting.

Excellent middle-of-the-road muffs: RADIANS PRO-AMP.

These are what I use. The cheap caldwell ones are HUGE, and make shooting a rifle nearly impossible. The expensive ($200+) Peltors and such are terrific, but they eat batteries.

I get roughly 6 months out of 6 AAA's in my Radians, and I run them for an average of 3-4 hours range time, each week. That's a long time.

They're excellent for the price (You'll find 'em in BassPro for $100, or for $60ish on eBay). The only thing you have to be wary of, is that the head gear spring is REALLY strong. It takes some use to break it in... at first, they absolutely crush your skull. I just spread them all the way open and stuck a stack of books in there overnight. Much better after that. :)

i have the radians like tntoy speaks of. so do two of my buddies. picked them up for $60 at dicks a few months back. sometimes if the indoor range is really busy, doubling up with some foam earplugs can really help
