because its happing in both 2 and 4 i say its your range fork
is it - or did you run it low on GEAR oil or use some cheep gear oil. I know some are " designed" to use tranny fluid but not for me only 85 - 140 or better goes in anything i service
my second guess is the shift rail damadge
3rd is the roller lock ball spring is getting week and not holding the shift rail in the proper position
Hope it helps

probably more like a worn shifting collar.

OR the fork itself. More than once I have welded up the ends of the forks and sanded them back down square so they fit tight in the groove of the collar

edit: also check the detent ball and spring in the top of the case where they thread into the case

ive also seen the dogs on the drive gears and driven gears worn down and not holding the shifting collars under load or coast.
