A buddy at work has a '92 Sammi but it doesn't run. He says it needs a ecm, but only the one for a '92 will work. Going to call around tomorrow to price one. Is anyone repairing these units? OR am I going to have to cough up the bucks? He only wants $450 for the Sammi.

You should PM "Surly" on http://bbs.zuwharrie.com/content . He has repaired tons of ECM's and is reasonable in price. Everyone claims he does kick ass work.
EDIT: For $450 buy that shit :flipoff2:

You could make twice that just parting it out if ya decided not to mess with it.

Just took a look at it. It has typical rusty areas as I expected. He's going to pull it out of the shed this weekend. Otherwise it doesn't look too bad. The ECM has a burned spot. It had been repaired, but didn't last but a month.

Didn't realize you were so close to me. If you decide you don't want it, I'll come take it off your hands....lol

90-93 samurai ECMs will work in it. The 94s and 95s will work too, but they will look for another sensor that is not on the 90-93 engines, so it will have a constant CEL.
If the ECM is burnt bad, it may not be repairable, or it may have fried other components......just something to consider.

Turns out it's actually a '90. Doesn't really matter :D
Anyone have an ECM they''d like to part with?
