Winter Wheeling

Where is there to wheel around CO in the winter that isnt too cold? Moab?

Moab. CORE (east of Denver). Farmington, Los Cruces (ok, so its not close), Indpendence Trail System (Penrose area)....

I have done non-snow wheelin pretty much every month of the year except January, with out leaving the state. Hard to plan a particular weekend though as it could have 2' of snow on the trails.

What kind of temps are you normally seeing? I am thinking about getting a new rig soon but dont want to spend the cash if i wont get to use it until spring.
Also that is a bad ass dodge you have... It looks like you put it on some serious trails.
I am in Gunnison... We should get together for a lil wheeling adventure.

Temperatures are so variable. I have seen -5 at Halloween, up to 60 or so in January. I have wheeled in 60+ weather in February and been in 3' of snow in March.....

Moab typically doesn't see much below 25 and upto 50 most days. Farmington same deal, usually warmer, but can get some significant rain.

Independence and Core would be more into the random temperatures depending on the weather. Last year there was no wheelin between Dec and March without snow (except Moab). This year is looking better.

Yep, we will have to wheel sometime, I try to get out to Montrose and all the BV stuff a couple time s ayear

We go open up trails in moab with around 60 degree weather every year for presidents day weekend. Grand junction has some kickass trails too. Billings, 21 road.
