i've searched pirate and every other website i can and there just doesn't seem to be any true crawlin rangers... other than white rhino and the grey one on air shocks (i dont know who's it is) dont get me wrong those are to damn good rangers but theres gotta be more out there? im startin to get parts together to do an extended cab ranger crawler. can anyone help me out with some pics or specs???

alot arnt built...they've never been very popular by the mainstream...heck..there seem to be more tracker builds lately than ranger builds...

and the builds are generally all over the net..

Sorry for the delay.

Just climbing ridiculous hill with a good verticle ledge at the top. Hard on the gas when it slid back and fell off the ledge and twisted all the studs/lugs off the axle. They are in fact not C-Clip axles. Of course when the wheel came off it took the drum off. This pulled the brake shoes out allowing my wheel cylinder to drain ALL my brake fluid. Interesting recovery.

The springs up front are 3" BDS YJ springs with some XJ leaves inserted. I have been running them for a 6 or so years and they are very stiff. I am going to be pulling out the XJ leaves since trimming my fenders made room for the extra flex this would allow. It seems like I am always fixing/changing something.......

Oh yeah, I plan on major trimming. Actually I'm looking right now at "doveing" the front around 16" and cutting the back off behind the back seat and tubing it in the back.

Been a long time shon... the ranger, well it's got more anger than ranger these days. :laughing:

It currently sitting in the garage naked and raped. I finally pulled the 4.0/m50d/135x doubler and It's getting a 351w/c6 and whatever tcase I can afford. :laughing: And I secretly made a deal and sold my soul to the devil so that I can win the lovell ranger body give-a-way :D

its a 2000 ranger with stuff done to it. nothing special- but i did the sas back in late '02 i think it was- which made me like, the 2nd guy to do an SAS on a non-ttb ranger, so there wasn't much tech info to look at... it was pretty much a blind leap of faith once i torched the IFS off. I'm not an awesome fabricator, but my friends and i cobbed this pile together, and apart from being PLAGUED by tranny issues, its been a pretty capable rig for close to 8 years.

Nah, can't sell it. It's a good comfortable rig. I still drive it on some roads, it's somewhat legal-(tag,ins.,lights), mainly gettin to a trail head.

Just pull the upper link on the passenger side. You dont need it. Leave the upper link on the differential side and you will still have control of the axle but tons more flex.
