I have a 1974 Jeep CJ-5 that I'm parting out, and someone is interested in the engine. It's the 258 ci (4.2L) with 60,000 - 70,0000. How much is this worth?

If one can hear it run and it sounds good, maybe a few hundred.

Clean, but can't hear run $100 maybe more.

In need of rebuild. $100 or less.

Rod through block, $5 per 100 lbs.

This is kind of a person by person thing. If somebody has a project, and they need one, they'll pay more. Not something most people will pick up just to have around.
