Google maps says about 60-miles, 1-hour 22-minutes. Hwy 247 South to Hwy 18. The Cushenbury grade is kinda steep with a couple of real sharp 180-degree turns, but it’s doable.
Use Fawnskin as your destination as most of the trails are on that side of the lake. The Fawnskin fire dept is an often used meeting place. That’s right where the Butler 2 fire just was so some of the areas are closed, but the east side (John Bull and others) should be open. If you are going without an experienced group stop at the Big Bear Discovery Center and get a map. I’d offer to set something up for you but I’ll be moving off the mountain over the next two weekends.

It wasn't to bad. Their are alot of cool obsticals to try, just pick your line. The trail can be done in a stock rig, with minor body damage, just have to have a good spotter. Let me know if you're going to come up and run it, would be willing to go. This will be my last weekend before I start the Police Academy..
