Anyone here have anything to say about this product? I've read that you can gain 20-30 HP from this, has anyone expienced first hand? Trying to find a way to get a little more umph out of my 2.8 V6 without toss'n something bigger in there. Any other ideas?

you could achieve basically the same improvement (20-30 hp is extremely doubtful with any one product for this engine) by using a throttle body off of a gm 4.3. Pop off your intake and bore it to match your new TB to take full advantage. you will probably want to use your stock 2.8 injectors to avoid running too rich.
There are lots of cheap and easy upgrades for this engine, but nothing will compare to a bolt-in 3.4 swap.

So a 4.3 TBI will do the same as the Holley 2.8? Sounds good to me, looks like it's a lot cheaper. Any one have any other advice for improving the hp on these 2.8V6's?

You can buy cams, TBI upgrades (as mentioned), I think headers, an electric fan will help alot, bump up to a good cat. convert. and 2.25" pipe. However i doubt you'll ever even get close to having the power you want. it is still a turd no matter how you dress it. But I understand you use what you have. I've been there.
Like Paul said, the 3.4 is a great up grade if your into easy. Plus a wornout stock 3.4 will yeild more power than a 2.8 with the common bolt-ons and will likely be cheaper.

camshafts, roller rockers, ignition upgrades, exhaust upgrades are all available. There aren't any headers out there that will work without some extra modification. but you'd be miles ahead saving your pennies for a 3.4. You do all that same stuff to a 3.4 and she will get up and go. Kinda like driving a normal car! :D

I've thought about the Holley system. TBI plus their computer since I ripped everything out of my rig and started from scratch. But I opted for a carb. instead. A holley 4160, 390 CFM. Easy to adjust and I like having those vacuum secondaries. I wouldn't recommend this to a rock crawler or someone climbing steep stuff, I built my truck for flat, fast trails.
As for the 2.8L, I have the 3.1L that came with my truck. In retrospect I should have dropped in a 3.4L, but the few extra horse wasn't worth the extra money for me, although I built the piss out of this motor. Buddy has a speed shop over the bridge in Tampa, gonna dyno it when I get the balls to drive it that far. I'd still be lucky to get 130 HP at the wheels.
For anyone interested, this is what I did to my 60 degre'er:
3.1L bored.030 over
balanced, crank, fly wheel, and damper at same time and machine
all new pistons, rings, rods, bearings, etc.
block, professionally cleaned, magnafluxed, etc.
heads shaved, all new guts, stainless steel valves
roller-tip rockers
edelbrock torker II intake
edelbrock headers (originally for an s-10, only minor mod to fit)
comp cam for low-end torque
holley, 390 carb
mallory ignition (distributor, CD box)
magnecor wires
double roller timing chain
high volume oil pump
remote oil filter kit
mallory fuel pump
electric fan
electric water pump (soon)
...and some I probably forgot, here's a pic:
