is weight and a front clip a concern?

I am not sure? I had this 4.3 in a Samurai and it wasnt that bad. I kinda liked it. The instal was a hack job. I removed it and hadn't wheeled that Zuk since.

Off topic:

We are going with the 2.5L Grand Vitara V6 in our buggy........(We decided to not hack up my tracker to fit 40's and this engine swap)

I think the dude who runs zukiworld did one in an older trackick.....

I thought of that I have driven the 2.5 and the 2.7 V6 models and they didnt really seem to have much power over the 2L 4 cyl. Anyone know the ratings?

you're serious?
2.0L=135hp
01-02 2.5L=155hp
03-04 2.5L=165hp- the difference between these is the crossover pipe
03-04ish 2.7L=185hp
07ish 2.7L=225hp

the only thing a 4.3 is going to have over the 2.7 is the torque down low... the 2.7 has about 180-190ft-lb in the shape of a 4 banger curve and the 4.3 has about 240 with a v8 shaped torque curve.

another thing, a zuk v6 is a 60 degree engine as where the 4.3 is a 90 degree engine.... a 60 is a lot easier to package.

Another consideration is cost. I already have everything for the 4.3 minus a t case. I also have most for the 2L minus a stand alone harness. The vehicles that had the V6's were also a little larger than the tested 2L.

I am buying my swap complete with tranny for the same price I am selling my 1.6 8V & harness

Whatever is the better deal for ya......

I hear the 2L are a decent swap tho.....

I wish I could've done a diesel swap.......too much bling for us......

:( I love my diesel van and would love a diesel trail rig but after being behind some smoking Zuks last weekend I dont think I would want to be behind a diesel trail rig.
