texican 06-20-2002, 11:42 AM Last post of the day probably, I just recieved my first set of Bobby's Longfields, they are purty!!
Not for my truck though :(
I had best go to the shop and start on the ARB and get these suckers installed.
They are going Dusty's FJ, (my Redneck) some of you met Dusty in Moab.
After seeing Mace abuse his Dusty had to have a set.

Now you found a use for all those early inner axles, like money in your pocket. Longfields DO NOT break before the inners do! I've spent 3, 2 long side and 1 short. Aisin hubs hold up to the snap, and be sure to install outer clip, and discard the one inside the birf. I love driving off the trail with a broken inner vs ripping it appart for a birf.
BTW, with a red star you can go to your profile and make whatever title you want, so loose the newbie, old timer!

Damn, my Longfields should be here any day now!! Can't wait to get my axle finished. Just need the Longfields, and a double steering arm, and a couple of ARBs should arrive next week!! <G>

Little Humor: Butch & Deb stopped by my house one night... Deb didn't say a word, but noticed the FJ40 top acting a table, the spare engine in the living room, and various cruiser parts around my house. Not sure if she noticed the intake manifold getting cleaned in the dish washer or not. I'm sure that made life easier on ol' Butch after that! :p
I think that is the real reason Pam wants me to have a LARGE shop at the new house... less likely for a FJ40 carb to show up on my night stand!
