Ok, so I have the Holly on my 302, but it is leaking like crazy, so I want a new carb, but can't afford a brand new one right now. Did a Rochester EVER come on a 302? If so, what years, and how do I find it. Also, if it did not come on the small block Ford, what does it take to mate the Chevy rochester to a ford pattern?
Dimitri
Im not a ford guy as you know Im sure. But no Rochester is a GM product. So nope, never on fords. (course I COULD be wrong I suppose, but I doubt it.) you COULD put one on a ford with this.

When it's hard to believe here it is Mike.
70-71 Ford Torino, Ranchero & some Mercs.
Only on 429-4v's and some Thunderjets. But no CJ's, SCJ's and above! Tomco makes them in a reman'd carb, and yes the Ford linkage is there. I tried one on my built 400, off road it was real good but I could not fine tune it because the Edelbrock rochester parts did not interchange. So I went with the Carter Competition series carb 625 cfm. The competition series carbs already have the off road kits in them. After lowering the floats a small amount, these carbs really respond on the trails, better then the reman'd Q-jet! I would try a 500 cfm Carter Competition series for the trail on a 302. But if you want more top end try the 625. The Q-jet is tough to beat.
wooOOOo! I love bein wrong!   thats cool to know though!
