: wiring websites?

does anyone know some good websites where i can go to learn about wiring? i need to know how relays work and how to wire them and that type of thing. thanks!

I don't know (nor have I looked) for anything like that on the internet, but go down to your local Radio Shack or electronics place and pick up a "Bosch Relay Guide". It's only a couple bucks and gives tons of examples. I had one way back in the day and it was useful when I was first learning that type of thing. :usa:

THATS A GOOD SIGHT. I always forget if you want to run power in to 30 or 87a, electrically there the same but if you run your power in to 30 like they show it will increase the life of the relay. I think it can arc inside if the wires are reversed cuasing a not clean contact that will cause failure over time.

The 85 and 86 terminals +/- dont matter orientation wise, and Diodes are reccomneded were show but the relay will physically work without them.
