2stix 10-20-2007, 09:48 PM i have 4L80E trans with either a borg warner 1370 - 4401 - or a 4470 (havnt looked at the tag yet) from a 1 ton duelly IFS. my question is, can the tranfer case be turned to make the front drive line run under the passenger side instead of the drivers side? im doing a straight axle swap and the diff is on the passenger side were the IFS is not. can this be done? thanks for any advice. Red Chevy 10-21-2007, 06:46 AM or a 208 from a 400. U will have to do some cross member mods cause the front output will land right dead center of the crossmember on the passenger side. Thats the adapter. 2stix 10-21-2007, 09:34 AM ok cool, thanks for the usefull info guys. to give you a better idea of the project. i am not installing a straight axle on the ifs truck. actually i am wanting to use the 454, 4L80E, and was hoping the transfer case, and installing them into a 72 Blazer. i do have the TH350/NP205 that came out of the blazer still, so i will look for a way to mate the 4L80E to the NP205. thanks for your help. | |
