: FYI: CHEAP Warn winches
FJ4ZROX 06-20-2002, 02:56 PM FYI - I found a Warn dealer willing to sell right at Warns "bottom line stated price". They are located in Redding, CA and have a web page here (http://www.redding4x4.com). I found the M12000 to be about $75 cheaper than 4wheel parts.
Just thought someone might care.....
fabricator 06-20-2002, 03:41 PM good to know;
thanks.

Howdy 06-20-2002, 08:08 PM The price there for the HS 9500 is still about 70 to 80 dollars more than what Clemson sells them for.

FJ4ZROX 06-20-2002, 09:39 PM Howdy and others -
Try calling them - I bet they'll match price.
I just looked at the M15000 and M12000 - they had the best prices hands down.
zukipuke - this place is right in my town. I stopped by at 11 am today and will have my winch tomorrow the same time.
Howdy 06-21-2002, 12:44 AM They might match price, but do the also offer the free shipping too? Plus me buying from Clemson, they are out of state so I don't pay any sales tax. Last I checked it was like $794 to my door for the HS 9500i
Howdy 06-21-2002, 12:51 AM Looks like the prices have gone up at clemson...should have bought last year. Its like $870 now for the hs9500i
Welby 06-21-2002, 05:33 AM Got my x8000i from Clemson for $689 including the shipping. Best price I found, by far. Fawk, 4wd Hardware wants $799 for the same winch, but they boldly type "Free shipping" in the catalog, so you think you're getting a deal ;)
xjpart2 06-21-2002, 05:46 AM not sure about there, but i know a bunch of people around here were buying 8274's new and getting them PDQ from advanced auto parts fro $860 or so. one guy got a x8000i for like 604 including the mouting bracket for a CJ. also check partsamerica.com advance owns them.

woody 06-21-2002, 05:55 AM I just installed a brand new Warn 8274-50 on my cruiser. $905, including taxes and everything.
Advance Auto Parts in-store price for this winch is $999. PartsAmerica.com, which is their online store, has them for $860 or so. I printed their online price, took it into the store, they price matched. Ordered on a Wed evening at 8:30pm....winch was in my hands at 5:pm Friday that same week. Add in taxes and you get ~$905.
Happy shopping.
madmarx 06-21-2002, 05:56 AM Yep 8274-50 for $864... Here is the part number to look up in their system.
#38631
fj40guy 06-21-2002, 07:02 AM Darn... none in Texas. Shipping on the WARN is $52.00 to get it delivered here.
Hmm... "What UPS delivery... Oh, that winch that arrived... uh, I need that to help build the shop" :D
In reality I might end up with THREE Mortgage payments for a few months, not the time to go shopping... still would like a winch for that GILMER mud. Then again I always go with a few buddies who have winches to pull ME out of the holes!
Here is to winch fitted assist vehicles

I can get 8274s for $750, was just offered that today, hell of a lot better than clemson or anyone else. Clemson definately has the best price on HS9500s which is what I need for my rig. :(
Supergper 06-21-2002, 07:32 PM I just got the XD9000i for that same price from 4WPW...but I had a credit so it really only cost me $60...:D
flimmy 06-21-2002, 08:20 PM look here carparts.com (http://www.carparts.com/parts/newsearch1.asp?sourceid=2&parttypeid=2114&autoidsearch=NO&SegmentId=2&reflink=0-0-0-0-0) for some good prices. You can get 10% off using this code 846955

Some of the prices are lower and some are not, it just depends which winch you are looking for.

Happy Trails.....

Apparently, there are a couple winches that Advance Auto can really give great deals on, that is one of them. They could also get me a great deal on an M12000, X8000i, and a couple others that they can get that aren't special orders. Unfortunately and HS9500 is a special order for them and it is the winch I need, they can't move and inch on the retail for that which is well over 900 bucks. Get to know your advance auto guy, it helps. You might not be able to get them that low, but I know for a fact they can go SUPER low on that winch, don't let them tell you otherwise. All I know is that I was offered that price on a brand new winch and they could have it there the next day, boy I wish I could use that winch now! Advance auto can also price match which is nice! Advance Auto is a great store, only thing they lack in my opinion is they don't carry spicer stuff and they don't carry timken bearings. If they had that stuff, they would be the best hands down...
moomba 06-23-2002, 10:05 PM Did anybody else here take advantage of the pricing mistake that Carparts.com made a few years ago? I bought a brand new M8000 for about $340... :D
I won this compitition, no shit. One of the prizes is a Warn winch. ANY Warn winch. Sense I already have one on my Bronco, Cherrokee and am married to one (just kiddin Mar) , don't need another.
Which Warn winch should I get to sell the easiest and for the most $
8274-50
HS9500
M15000

Gee, might that competition have been put on by Four Wheeler Magainze, and set in a "secret location" that rhymes with Bollister Bills? :D :D
The winch question is pretty easy to answer. Get the M15000 - it's worth the most money. :D
The hard part will be selling it... You hear "Thats more winch than I need" a lot when selling a 12-15K rated winch for $1,000.
If you need a buyer for an M15000, PM me. My buddy has a Chevy he really wants to put an M15000 on... and he's looked for one long enough to know what they're worth down here on earth, not in "part buyer fantasy-land".

I did, I did, got my hs9500i for 575 delivered:flipoff2:. Seems they had a 33% off deal for members, I heard about it on some board or another, called em and talked em into selling it to me at that price even tho I wasnt a member.
