k5 trailblazer

I have a k5 blazer with a dana 60/ 14 bolt with 4.88 gears and 39. I streched the wheel base to 115 and the leaf springs flex great. I also have a wrangler tub and frame but the frame is all rusted out. The blazers body has become too wide and tall for the trails that I run. I thought about building a tubed buggy but I don't have a bender. I love the wheel base and am in kind of a delema because I will be lucky to get 110 out of the jeep and thats with four link and coil overs. Do any of you guys have any ideas on what I could do or you would do in my shoes?

So basically...you have a k5 with some decent running gear and a few mods...but its too big for your enviroment? Welcome to the fullsize chevy world man...unless your mud bogging, 90% of the trails you run are jeep/quad sized.
Keep the k5 and narrow the front/rear and see what that will do for you. If it works I would keep that....its basically a "free" mod not counting your time/labor/consumables. If that doesnt work out for you, go the next step and make a smaller cage and wrap some sheetmetal around it.
maybe thatll help ya some...only what i would do in your situation. Why build another rig when you have a perfectly good platform more suited to what you like/need as is???

keep it. Sooner or later 1 of 2 things will happen, the trail will narrow your rig for you, or you will make the trail bigger. Im betting the trail is going to win.

Putting a mini-truck cab on a fullsize frame is popular around here. A s10 cab shouldn't be to hard to find or very expensive.

Not sure how much lift you have but assuming its 4" you wouldnt be any shorter in a full bodied jeep or s10 with the same size tire. If you have a lot of lift lower it and trim the body. Width is the tough issue.....taper the front and rear and boatside it. Other than that you are going to have to get friendly with tube.
Where in AZ are you?

Narrow and bob it... here is mine narrowed. I have not bobbed the rear yet bc I am waiting on a fuel cell and some tube.

Im in Surprise. I have narrowed it front and rear. I would like to take the body off and tube the whole thing but I don't know anyone with a bender.

I'm not sure how much lift I have. I have depacted a 2.5 in rear rancho springs and a 8 inch superlift springs and put them up front. I think its 4 and 5 inches in the front and about 6 inches in the rear. I have 63 inch rear springs with a shackle flip and a 2in block.
