I was wondering if anyone here has experience in building a front baja suspension. I was wondering what your best advice is on a front baja suspension for a 95 dodge ram 1500

whos the best out there to build it
how much is the cost vs just a bolt on kit
how hard is it to convert the front if there is no front end on it right now, and how hard is it to make it match the rear

chances are id be paying someone to finish it so Im just wondering who and how much

lots of questions. 2x4 or 4x4? Do you want a solid axle or TTB or A-arm? How much travel do you want? And the biggie, how much money do you want to spend?

Well here we go

2x4
a arm
travel will be matched to the rear and thats 44inch tall rear coil overs with 18 inches of travel
front shocks come with it 32 inches tall with 12 inches of travel but he doesnt have the springs (very progressive spring rate via a 1600#, 1400#, and a 800# spring per shock) thats what ive been told should be on it
air bumps with 4 inches of travel
comes with upper fabtech arms

and what i want to spend, thats a big one, Id really like to be outta it for decently cheap, not expecting to buy $500 worth and have it work, I have the money to spend Id like to keep it budget though.

if so, your not gonna get anywhere near 18" of rear travel. 5" of uptravel and youll be into your bumps.

That guys tryin to sell it on ps.com and it looks like ass to me. Rear end is just not set up right at all. Plus its been sitting for years as you can tell by looking at the coilovers in the up close pics, the shafts were showing rust iirc

ps. that shock cage is only built well enough to hold a set of dampners , not coilovers holding the weight of the truck up

True, but those are 4 inch airbumps right? So thats 9 inchs uptravel, plus a bunch going down.

My buddy Dean does desert go-fast suspension out here. I went into his shop 2 days ago and he has 7 rangers with his TTB suspension. Most of them have 18 inch of travel, with a few were at 15 from the shock choice. I think 3k would finish most of the front end up if you went to a shop and had them fab everything. But I doubt you can get 18 inch of travel with such a small wheel arc. How long are those fabtech upper arms? Mabye your best bet is to have a desert race shop fab you a TTB front end. Simple, no bump steer, 18 inchs of travel, be out racing the washboards in a few weeks.

But I am not a go-fast desert guy, yet. Mabye asking over in the desert race section would be better.
