how many splines does it have in the tcase? 21 or 23?
im thinking this is a w56D cuz the seller says its from a 1992

21 spline, Almost positive only 23 spline transmission was R151 turbo
B&C were in front of top shift cases, W56D was in front of a forward shift case. Not sure of the shifter locations in regards to other Toy trannies.
What are your plans? Are you looking to replace a bad one in an older truck?

I'm planning on upgrading because I don't know how bad the G series one is i have in my 79 toyota hilux with an 87 22r. this seller wants 300 for the tranny tcase and a 3core radiator. seems like a good price.
looks like the shifter cover is missing? Are those hard to get if the seller doesnt have it?

Seems a bit high to me. $75 Is what we pay for a trans and case down here.(PA)
As long as it's hooked to a gear drive case you should be fine. Chain drive means it's a r150 from behind a 3.0 six.

that trans and t case sucks..should be a chain driven t case and the mounting pattern is like a v6...put it up for sale

good thats exactly what i wanted and it's what i got, but i see that the center section has 10 bolts as opposed to my g54 which has 8 bolts. im sure there are other differences. Can i run a dual tcase with a 21 spline top shift and 21 spline forward shift?
