hey all,
I'm looking around for a set of sliders for my tj unlimited. There are some good options in Body armor and PScustoms, shrockworks, etc. but these are all around 350 or 400.00 bucks or more...more than I want to spend.
i'm specifically looking for something with a kickout bar for protection purposes. It would also serve as a step for my daughters and a way to get to our roof rack, when we have it on to go camping.
I just found a pic of all-pro and trail gears tubular weld-on sliders($135.00 and up) and was wondering if anyone has used their products on a jeep or even a toyota. (specifically, an unlimited would be great)
I like that the bars come separate from the legs and allow for custom length and placement, as well as "clocking" of the kickout/2nd bar...
thanks,
Brian

I'd say try to find a local Jeep fab out there. Some of the smaller outfits will give a great product for less $$ than some of the big guys.
All in all though, you want to see how it connect. I personally think the attachment points from the PScustoms is one of the best in the business, and it's been proven over and over again.
If you're going to be using it often, I wouldn't cut corners and get an inferior product. But that's just how I do things. I don't know much about the products you are looking into, but it's your Jeep and $$.
If it will work for you, go for it... otherwise stick with the proven.

My friend has the Marlin guards on his Cherokee, and they are a perfect fit. Very strong and are holding up to a beating. I think the products available for the Jeeps out there are way over priced. The sliders look like they where made for his Jeep. I think you should measure out how long you need and see if they are close to the right length. I would highly recommend them and the Allpro ones, they are the same thing.

see, thats what i think too...just looking @ garvin and body armor's sliders tonight...and they want $360+ for those things...
then i go to trail gear/all pro's website and they have sliders for a larger/heavier truck for less than $200.00.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not cheap, but i am on a budget, so i want to do these once and forget about them until Mr. rock decides to kiss my rockers...lol.
I'll go measure manana, and i'll check out marlin's, too.
