Any body compile a chart that lists common axle shaft failure torque ratings? oem vs. alloy shafts. fronts and rears, fronts with ujoint failure torque ratings along with inner and outers? <IMG SRC="smilies/fj.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/usa.gif" border="0">

Best thing I have seen was in FourWheeler a couple years ago. They tested the strength of a bunch of different mfg's 297 u-joints. They had a couple other things like the Warn stub strength and a couple 260 joints as well.

its not what your looking for, but moser has a calculator on their site. you put in max engine torque and gear ratios and itll tell ya how much force ya put out. then you use their chart for spline count so ya can get an axle that'll take your abuse...
