They are nice. Be sure to get the 08. It is fuel injected with the 700 engine.

For sport use, my biggest concern is the center of gravity. The seats sit much higher than a Rhino, and it feels tippy.

The 2008 model is nice power-wise. Faster than a 2008 Rhino. EFI is nice.

i got an 07 xt. wheel the piss out of it, good power, after putting on a cage and rear seats it does full on wheelies with 2 adults in the back seat. stock suspension sucks, as does muffler. i custom mounted fox coilovers w/res. big improvement. fmf silencer. these are fun as hell and better than rhinos imo. i take my 4 seater places razr owners are scared to go.

They are a great UTV weve been playing with Prowlers for awhile, we have a Intercooled Supercharged one that's insane. Long travel and cages coming soon.
With some modifications it can be a formidable little race machine, a race machine that the average Joe can aford to race.

Everyone always says they sit higher and seat height is higher and center of gravity is higher. But im pretty sure they are 6 inches wider in stock form and that translates to stability. The motor and drivetrain is still mounted low. Put it this way my buddy has a rhino and i have a prowler we have similiar driving habits and hes put his over on its side 6 times. Ive not once had it on its side just wheelied over backwards on steep climb with rear passengers. Much more suspension travel, less bottoming of shocks, driver and passenger room much better, under hood storage. I've been really happy with mine.

they're still junk. i would say save your money.
my 88 toyota is built with an sas, gears and lockers, chromo shafts and duals with 38's.
my yota has $5000 total into it, my arctic cat has over $12000 and can't go anywhere the yota can go. and the yota is street legal and seats 4 comfortably. high priced junk is all you're buying...:shaking:

they don't cost $12,000. if gave that much thet robbed you. i bought a brand new 650 in '08 at bass pro shop for $8900. there awsome SxSs, they do have a few bugs that needs worked out, but over all they are great.

they have more room than a rhino, more storeage area, more ground clearance, now they have more power, larger tires and wheels, front and rear reciever hitches, larger bed space, larger cab space.

never said i paid $12,000 for it.
i put a cage on it
prp front and rear seats
fmf silencer
fox coilovers
wheels and tires

here's what i've had issues with
rear diff seal leaked
tie rods bent
over heating
front locker broke
stock wheels broke
rear brake rotor shot
no parking brake
glove box door flew off

don't get me wrong, it's a decent machine for tooling around on occasion, it's just not worth the money in stock form. they need a ton of upgrades to be enjoyable or dependable.

anything a man can buy to wheel in can be mistreated, i could take an abrams tank, if mistreated bad enough i could tear it all to hell too, its all about how hard you are on your machine. and that toyota, it might be holding up good for now, but one of these days you'll tear it up too.

:laughing:you know more than i do about prowlers and yotas i guess.
so i guess the prowler will outlive my yota. good to know, since i don't wheel or anything.
prowlers are the best machine period. make sure to post back on here in 2 years of wheeling the prowler.:flipoff2:

Nope never said i knowed more than you, don't really know which sentence you found that in. and Nope never said the prowler will outlast the yota. and Nope never said you didn't wheel, don't think you would have done that much work to a yota if ya was going to drive it on the street. and last,Nope never said that prowlers was the best. all i said was, some people can tear up a steel anvil with a rubber hammer. i have a yota and a prowler, both do great for the terrain that they were built for, yota is built for rocks, prowler is built for everything else. can you agree to that?

I don't know too much about side by sides, but I've been using a Prowler for around the farm.
Things that really bothered me about it today: canopy design and bed space. We got quite a bit of rain last night and I got completely drenched as all the sitting water in the canopy came right into the cab on both sides. Also, I wish the bed was just a tad bit bigger so that you could fit 2 hay bales in flush. I'm able to get 6 bales in right now, but it's not pretty

Going to spend more time on it here in a few minutes... we'll see if I get it stuck.

they are shit, get a rhino. The front end on all arctic cat atvs and utvs are very weak. Also very tall and roll cage is shitty built. Stick with rhino.

Bugs, my 08 snapped the 1st rear output shaft on the 2nd tank of fuel. I was told it was a bad casting on that particular batch of shafts. They had 2 or 3 more in the shop while mine was there for the same thing. A major "BUG"

That thing is the size of my buggy. I thought the reason to buy a utv was the small size. Wonder what the weight of those things are?

1200 lbs.
i enjoyed mine when it was new, but now it just sits, 'cause it's not worth throwing money at. these are great machines for the farm, or for light duty recreation.
