okay guys i need some help here...i can get the agr rockram just the ram and install kit pretty cheap ...now is it a better ram then say a regular tractor one or like the one matt at west texas is selling.the agr has a dual piston and heims...and info would be greatly appreciated.
i called up agr and they sell it seperately from there kits for 290.00$ and i can get cost on that so would it still be worth it to get the agr or fab up a regular single piston deal...:usa:

Call them back and tell them you broke your rock ram and need parts for the old style ram.They cut me a deal for $130 for the new style when they couldnt get me parts to rebuild the old one

Like baddbilt said. 290 is their 'screw you' price if you call and try to be honest. I know several people have bought 'replacements' (new style) for between $150 and $175.
Their old syle was a POS. Built for race cars, light weight and cheap construction (single ring AL piston, single o-ring (no backup) on the caps, poor quality shaft seals). They were known to leak out of every end after a year or less. The new ones are all steel, welded construction. Cheeper to make and better construction for us.
A shop here in T-town has been evaluating an equlivent ram (better construction, same size). If it works out, they should be priced in the 150 range and better suited than the AG cylinder for assist only applications.. :)

A rock ram is 1-3/4 bore, 5/8 shaft, 8" stroke.
Good for 2400 lbf push, 2100 lbf pull (1000 psi 'std' pump).
okay so lets say i do call them back and manage to scam the new one for 130$ i still have to get all the fitting and hoses right.hmmmm maybe my source is still cheaper and i will get everything i need instead of shopping around the place
all in all is the new agr rockram worthwhile to get or wait for matt at west texas to do his heim style double ended ram...

Are you guys running a second pump, a better pump or just removing the flow valve in your existing pump?
tj pumps are supposed to have alot of pressure so all i would do is modify my box and slap on the ram...
okay so i called them up again and they said that there isn't a new style ram and they have all the parts to rebuild the older one.hmmmm i dont know if they are fawking with me or what. i guess you guys just got lucky ...
