There's not gonna be many good deals on Super Swampers. This is cause most everyone sells them at meer dollars over cost. This is why everyone offers them in package deals with rims at the least and more often with lifts too.

I know a guy that managed a 4x4 shop and he said everyone shops around guys would call and tell them "So and so has these tires for 1.50 cheaper a tire, will you beat that price?" He said this was a regular occurance.

Anyway, I know for a fact that the 'common' price out there is usually RIGHT there at what they pay for them from Super Swamper. Usually they just chalk it up and sell them and hope that the customer needs a lift to go with it.

This guy I know also told me that about the ONLY people that are able to make a buck off of Super Swampers are people like 4WPW cause of course Super Swamper gives them a special discount.

Yup - most places sell Swampers for just a few bucks more than they pay for them... Just no room to bargain when they are being sold that low...

i have a buddy who gets a dealer discount through 4wheel parts and he got me 5 42" tsl's for $297 per tire. that is tax, fet, and all. 4wheel parts lists them for $301 per tire and then you still have to pay tax and fet.

You used to be able to get swampers 1/2 price at Interco, with minor defects. I do not know if they still do it.

I gonna run 37" MTR's after my SAS. It's a DD, so I gotta have some good road manners. When I have some money again afterwards, I'm gettin the 38" Swampers with super tough sidewalls (SX's I think?? I can't remember anymore:rolleyes: ) and mountin em on Rockstomper beadlocks for trail tires. But I think I'll keep the MTR's on for trips where the sidewalls aren't in danger. Only thing I don't like about the ones I have now is the sidewalls;)

Bottom line, though--You just can't beat the Swampers. Ask Lance, he switched from MTR's on the Cruzah to Swampers for a reason.

I haven't been following the above 38" industry, so I don't even know WTF the STS is??

If you can still get them... I'd like them. I can't afford them with my limited welfare checks.

B - check out prices on the new Irok's - from what I hear, they are WAY cheaper than anything else in the sizes offered...

Agreed! Even with the receipt for MTR's floating around, the IROC's are still cheaper. And according to the review I read (IROC's on the rocks) they are a really good tire. Nice road manners, and sticky on the rocks. Tough as shiat, yet light in terms of weight. I don't think they "look" anywhere near as good as a TSL, but that still wouldn't deter me from buying a set.

I Just bought some MTRs yesterday. I paid alot for them but they were the only place that had them. Americas tire company has them in there wherehouse and can get them at the store in one day. I paid $200 a tire. OUCH. But I didn't feel like waiting for this back order crap to end, and my truck was in bad need of tires + it's my DD.

usmcdoc14,

Where did you order your IROK tires from? I am ready to order and it sounds as though you did all the research. Did you get the 17" wheel size?

Thanks.

i have been hearing all this talk about not being able to get MTRs but i got mine the same day from my local Big-O. Guy gave me a good deal, $180 each for 37's. Says other places just don't know where to get um. Not having to pay for mounting/balancing always helps. Other than that i believe my local walmart had um for $185 each, prolly gonna get my spare there with the road hazard on it.

I got them from an online place that deals threw the military it wasnt that i got hooked up because i am military ,its he took off the shipping (69 bucks) cause he felt like dirt for making me wait 1.5 months for my MTR's that will never arive :flipoff2: (with some guilt tripping)

www.NTWonline.com had them listed for $216 but you can find them for 209. average price for shipping is $69 for 4 so dont let someone try to screw you.

I got them in 39.5 x 13.5 x 15 as i already have rims

anyone got the iroks mounted (39.5's)? How tall are they? Same goes for the 37" MTR on a 10" rim

I got 38" TSL's and I love the height, just that I need something round..

I wouldn't expect much more than 36" out of the MT/R's. One guy in my club has 37" MT/R's and another has 36" Irocs. The Irocs are almost an inch taller.

the iroks in my garage stand a little under 38 inches tall and a 8 inch rim, my 37 inch mtrs are about 36.5 inches tall
