It's time to get the ole pickup out from behind the barn.
Bought it for the Axles to put in my YJ. Has een sittin on blocks since and it's time to haul the carcass off to the junk yard - what is worth pulling out?
351M (runs, not well) C6, NP205, misc other parts - what's worth saving?

I'd pull the engine/tranny/Transfer. You might not need it, but someone you know might. Seems a shame to let them get away,

Steering Box, spring and shock brackets, any other cool brackets bolted on it.

the gas in it,
i wouldnt recomend taking the gas unless you know the previous owner or inspect it real good. ive learned my lesson a few times about putting mystery gas in my truck.
long stories short,
first time had about 25% diesal in it (truck ran fine just hard to get started),
second time, had sugar in the tank (didnt do anything really),
3rd time, lots of dirt (clogs the fuel filter like crazy, 3 months later, dirt is still geting in the clear autozone filter)

The rear fuel tank is handy
Fuel tank is shot - so that answers the gas question too.
Is the block really worth saving, especially when I don't have much storage space?
Now it'll be fun fighting all that rust to unbolt stuff without a hot wrench.

think about it this way. you fight with the rusty bolts and make $$$$ all of these things can be sold to lower your costs. Thats why people, at least the smart ones, buy a running donor. if your very good you can even come out positive.
