: Heat curing long parts

Anyone have any suggestions for baking long parts (30" barrels) when applying heat cured finish?

I can fit a 28" barrel in my oven diagonally, but the two ends are very (1/2") close to the heating elements and will get way more heat than the center.

leave the door open to fit and stuff te open gap in the oven with aluminum foil and bake as normal.
or use your BBQ :D

Eventually I am going to build an oven just for barrels using a gym locker and heating elements. :smokin:

If I had a BBQ grill that big I'd open a restaurant. I do have two that I could cut the sides off of and join together. :laughing:

The door open and foil might work. Gotta think on this some more.
