I have not been to it either. My brother will be there in my toyota though. I stopped going to all of those events. Seems there are about 4 times to many vehicles at them and basically just a big traffic jam. If you don't go I will let you know what my brother says about it.

To sum up why I posted, I was going to see if it was anything more then "...drunk people from Mollola in their hillbilly deluxe fords doing mud drags."

I do not question the event holders intentions, I question their methods. My friends used to go to these events, the "mud bog type," and tell me about them. There are even video of these events here on Pirate4x4. As of yet, I see no reason to attend this style of events based on I do not find them entertaining.

Methods aside, it is a charity event. That is why I bothered to ask. This is the first time I have had serious thoughts about going. But the $75 in fuel + $20 to get in + $10 for lunch for wasting a Saturday doesn't seem like a good idea to me. I am trying to justify that by spending $100 attending this event, it will benefit this man's family more then saying home. working, making $200, which some of that will goto other "charitys" my family has taught me to support. If there was something more then a strait line of mud and a RTI ramp maybe I would go. While their methodology I question, their motives I do not.

Let me ask you this, how many ice skating events do you go to? Would you drop everything to go if it that same Disney on Ice event was for charity? Is it wrong to ask if there is anything to do at Mikey Mouse and the Ice-ca-ters other then watch them?

Let us change the charity to a plumbers gathering. Would I be wrong to ask if previous plumbers events activity's are the same as this one for charity?

How many posts does it take to get to your real point!

WTF? The only thing you questioned in your first post was.

I believe there is a bog and side by side pits plus a lil open area? I'm not sure but I thought I heard that food was covered with entry fee. They are now also talking about having it open on sunday as well. I've never been to this piece of property and not certain on what to expect. I will stay as long as it appears to be under control. I am only gonna be in my tow rig and dont care to have someone F'n it up.

As for drunk hillbillys from mollala I couldnt tell ya if there will be any. I suppose its possible. I know about 10 rigs from our group are gonna go, don't think any of them plan on drinking and none are from mollala.

It is the first time that these particular people have put on any kind of event like this so I am sure there will be some disorganization going on. If all works out they would like to do it multiple times a year?

I can certainly under stand not wanting to put out $100 in fuel and entry just to go to an over crowded event to sit there. I do hope it works out for them because it is for a good cause.

Was a good event. Very organized for a first run. They had side by side drags, a good sized free play area, nasty tank trap, ramp, BBQ, Raffles. They kept things going good with a large excavator and water truck and lots of staff on duty.

The free play area got a lil busy now and again but not to bad for $20 and play all day.

where exactly are you from again? remind me not to invite you to any of my events. assholes like you seem to f uck up any chance of civility. Did you realize that most of us that have mud racing/bogging events dont allow alcohol? this particular event is a benefit. thats a pretty sad statement from ANYONE, to slam an event to raise money that would benefit someones family should they DIE.

youre an ass.

do they have a pay pal account?

What a blast..! I went. I took lots of (mostly short clips) video.. but darned if I can't find the cord to plug in my camera to the pc to transfer them over. When I do.. I'll post the link to them on my youtube account.

Well organized, GREAT turnout (spectators and particpants). I would happily make the drive from Florence again. Maybe next time they put on another bog.. I'll put mywhtjp through it..? I overheard someone there saying that there'll be another event in December..?

Gotta go find that cord now..!

-Bruce

ps. The place was easy to find too.
