: Toyota Dual Transfer Case Cross Member and Mount
traxman25 10-30-2007, 09:34 AM When 4x Innovations set out to design a new transfer case cross member we knew it wouldn’t be easy. After talking to may wheelers like you found out what mattered the most. Based on this we came up with this gem. Your new custom built cross member is designed to be low profile, but strong, and protective. This tube cross member is built from 1.5x.120 tubing to provide a great low profile fit, and durability and features 4 hard frame mounting points to help stiffen up your underbelly. These mounting points also allow it to stretch it’s reach and cover the bottom of the fragile cast aluminum transfer case and transmission housings that tend to crack if they meet face to face with a rock or hard place.
To help keep everything tucked up nice and neat under your rig we designed this cross member to use a new heavy duty transmission mounting bracket. This bracket replaces the stock mount with a new unit that houses poly round bushings to help eliminate play in your drive train. No more ripping stock mounts apart! By replacing the stock mount we were able to nest the tubes and the mount, meaning no valuable underbelly real-estate is wasted. As always, the new mount and all high grade hardware is included.
This cross member will fit your 84-95 Toyota pick up or 4 Runner that is or has had a Solid Axle swap. The stock torsion bars and torsion bar mounts must be removed. Don’t forget that 4x Innovations builds parts for YOUR truck, so customization for body lifts, 0-3 inches, is available FREE of charge! You can also order your cross member to be built for a 10 degree clocked transfer case, or a standard case.
Cost is $230 for the cross member, all mounting plates, hardware, and the HD transfer case mount, in either clocked or non clocked versions. To order you can use the online shopping cart here (http://4xinnovations.com/pages/drive/crossmembers.htm), or contact us (http://4xinnovations.com/pages/contact.htm).
For those of you who already have a cross member, but keep ripping your stock mounts; we have a solution for that too! Our stock replacement heavy duty transmission/transfer case mounts are now available!
traxman25 12-06-2007, 07:14 PM Don't forget we build these to custom fit your rig! Included is adjustments for clocked/non clocked t-cases AND we'll build it to fit perfect with your body lift for free! Not to mention the full transmission/tcase protection and HD mounting technology!
Booger Weldz 12-09-2007, 09:37 AM can you sell me just the plate youve had bent with the holes for the t case mount?(i dont need the poly bushings and tube)....thanks!

traxman25 04-14-2008, 09:38 AM TacoRunner,
I sent you an email and PM, Thanks!
werty 05-05-2008, 04:12 PM Will your cross member work with a 700r4 with duals? Im a 1/2'' away from stock mounting on the first t-case.
traxman25 05-05-2008, 05:58 PM werty, the 1/2" would not be a problem but the shape of the 700r4 most likely will be. If you can give me a call we can chat about it some.
rObbsTOY 07-25-2008, 09:08 AM i have an 81 toyota with 87 transmition and duel top shift cases and i was wondering if that crossmember would work. i dont see why not but thought i would ask anyways. thanks

SkimtheYotaHead 11-11-2008, 07:32 PM How about a side pic showing how much below the frame the cross member sits.
SkimtheYotaHead 11-11-2008, 07:34 PM Is there a skid plate that is included ?
POWERSTROKEN 12-17-2008, 06:33 PM I am in need of a mount for a dual Toy case set up rotated 10 degrees. It is for use in a 98 Chevy 4 door Tracker. Can you make something somewhat universal? It be nice if it had a skid plate also. Thanks Jim
traxman25 03-08-2009, 11:20 AM btt!
Bigredwelder 03-11-2009, 07:19 PM Bump for a nice design! I was thinking of fabing something similar, but I might have to save myself some time at that price.
nissanclay 03-24-2009, 09:06 AM Hey Adam, I sent you a email or PM (can't remember) about a week or so ago and have not heard back from you yet. Shoot me a PM if you didn't get it.
traxman25 03-24-2009, 09:19 AM Please resend, apparently I did not get whatever you sent.
traxman25 05-31-2009, 05:07 PM Here's a pic sent to us by Gassman4x4 here on Pirate. Thanks for the pic, looks good!
traxman25 06-10-2009, 02:08 PM Back to the top!
traxman25 07-07-2009, 10:23 AM Thanks for the orders!
traxman25 07-28-2009, 07:31 AM Top for great cross members!
traxman25 08-13-2009, 07:53 AM Check out these great cross members!
Booger Weldz 08-19-2009, 02:44 PM have you guys put these under an auto tranny? the pan hangs down farther...right now, with the mount, your crossmember seems to be the best bang for the buck in the vendors section!
traxman25 08-19-2009, 04:19 PM With the parts that I have on the shelf they will not fit behind an auto trans. I don't have an auto with duals or gear drive box behind it though so I havn't been able to get them redesigned.
111aj 08-19-2009, 07:01 PM Is there any knid of interferance with the exhaust?
traxman25 08-19-2009, 07:18 PM With a mount, no.
The cross member may require the exhaust to be moved, it just depends on what is there.
scallywag 11-18-2009, 04:31 PM Works with the 3.0?
traxman25 11-18-2009, 05:17 PM No
Bigredwelder 09-22-2010, 08:59 PM Finally getting around to doing my dual case swap, but am curious why you said no to the "Works with the 3.0?" question. Seems to me the engine shoudn't matter as long as you have dual gear driven cases. Am I missing something?
traxman25 11-23-2010, 09:05 AM Btt!
traxman25 01-15-2011, 07:41 PM Btt!
85lockdtoy 01-16-2011, 08:22 PM adam,
any pictures of a side view of this? also does it hang down 2-3" 10 degree rotated case with no body lift.... trying to see where it will sit without chopping up the tunnel...
Bigredwelder 02-18-2011, 08:50 PM Okay...the projects finally off the ground! Do you have these in stock?
traxman25 02-21-2011, 09:36 AM Which one of the 8 different models are you looking for? As of right now I do not stock cross members because there are so many to choose from. Give me a call and we'll get you on the schedule.
Bigredwelder 02-21-2011, 11:30 AM Okay I'll give you a ring.
traxman25 03-03-2011, 09:46 AM Thanks for the order!
traxman25 03-10-2011, 09:47 AM Bump to the top!
toy4whatever 03-20-2011, 07:44 AM Finally getting around to doing my dual case swap, but am curious why you said no to the "Works with the 3.0?" question. Seems to me the engine shoudn't matter as long as you have dual gear driven cases. Am I missing something?
I have the same question. Why want the crossmember fit a 3.0? I don't have a 3.0 anymore but I am using a R-150F transmission with duals.
ROWDY REBEL 03-23-2011, 07:29 PM Will it work with a automatic tranny behind a 3.0 ? doing the sas now, thanks for the build to , it helped me alot, much appreciated. I read this once a couple weeks ago and thought you said it would not work with autos, but not sure, will it work ?? thanks BILL
getbent2night 05-09-2011, 06:17 PM Checked the website, skid is not available and i have a friend who wants one, any idea when we can get it ordered?
traxman25 05-09-2011, 06:33 PM This tube style cross member has been discontinued.
87 Bronco 05-18-2011, 10:57 PM I really liked the looks of this crossmember... Are you all changing the design or coming out with something new in the near future?
traxman25 05-19-2011, 06:52 AM You can give me a call and we'll talk about it if you'd like. However I won't post plans for this online as they still are not firm, or in a position to be posted to the sharks here.
