When 4x Innovations set out to design a new transfer case cross member we knew it wouldn’t be easy. After talking to may wheelers like you found out what mattered the most. Based on this we came up with this gem. Your new custom built cross member is designed to be low profile, but strong, and protective. This tube cross member is built from 1.5x.120 tubing to provide a great low profile fit, and durability and features 4 hard frame mounting points to help stiffen up your underbelly. These mounting points also allow it to stretch it’s reach and cover the bottom of the fragile cast aluminum transfer case and transmission housings that tend to crack if they meet face to face with a rock or hard place.

To help keep everything tucked up nice and neat under your rig we designed this cross member to use a new heavy duty transmission mounting bracket. This bracket replaces the stock mount with a new unit that houses poly round bushings to help eliminate play in your drive train. No more ripping stock mounts apart! By replacing the stock mount we were able to nest the tubes and the mount, meaning no valuable underbelly real-estate is wasted. As always, the new mount and all high grade hardware is included.

This cross member will fit your 84-95 Toyota pick up or 4 Runner that is or has had a Solid Axle swap. The stock torsion bars and torsion bar mounts must be removed. Don’t forget that 4x Innovations builds parts for YOUR truck, so customization for body lifts, 0-3 inches, is available FREE of charge! Will your cross member work with a 700r4 with duals? Im a 1/2'' away from stock mounting on the first t-case.

werty, the 1/2" would not be a problem but the shape of the 700r4 most likely will be. If you can give me a call we can chat about it some.

i have an 81 toyota with 87 transmition and duel top shift cases and i was wondering if that crossmember would work. i dont see why not but thought i would ask anyways. thanks

I am in need of a mount for a dual Toy case set up rotated 10 degrees. It is for use in a 98 Chevy 4 door Tracker. Can you make something somewhat universal? It be nice if it had a skid plate also. Thanks Jim

have you guys put these under an auto tranny? the pan hangs down farther...right now, with the mount, your crossmember seems to be the best bang for the buck in the vendors section!

With the parts that I have on the shelf they will not fit behind an auto trans. I don't have an auto with duals or gear drive box behind it though so I havn't been able to get them redesigned.

Is there any knid of interferance with the exhaust?

With a mount, no.

The cross member may require the exhaust to be moved, it just depends on what is there.

Finally getting around to doing my dual case swap, but am curious why you said no to the "Works with the 3.0?" question. Seems to me the engine shoudn't matter as long as you have dual gear driven cases. Am I missing something?

I have the same question. Why want the crossmember fit a 3.0? I don't have a 3.0 anymore but I am using a R-150F transmission with duals.

Will it work with a automatic tranny behind a 3.0 ? doing the sas now, thanks for the build to , it helped me alot, much appreciated. I read this once a couple weeks ago and thought you said it would not work with autos, but not sure, will it work ?? thanks BILL
