Youch. Unless you've got something really special in that case, I don't think I'd weld that up, but if it is what I think it is (smallblock C6 case?) they've been pretty easy for me to get more of.

It was OK, nothing terribly exciting. Plenty of huge wheels, tiny tires, and a vast overuse of silicone, so I'm glad I'm home now. Gotta get to work on making my car fast now. :)

Cool! What are you thinking for a fuel tank?
I'm not sure my 16 gal. is even going to be enough if the course gets longer.

I'll be content to get to 15, but if I can weasel 20, I will. I'm hoping to end up with 3-ish inches more compression in the rear, but I'm hurting for more than about two up front (and to get two, I'm going to have to chop out the winch tray), and to get either, it's going to be some pretty serious remodel work.

Fuel tank will have to be 100% custom, but I've got a TIG now and a friend who knows how to use it reasonably well, so it'll just be time consuming.

I'd rather just build a new chassis, but that's been nixed by Regina (she's got good reason: our first kid is now officially on the way) at least for the moment, so I'll make do as best I can, with what I've got.
