Can you post up some pics of a hydro-assist ram mounted to a Dana 44. Trying to get some ideas where to mount the ram.

Thanks

THis is a view from the rear to see it better. D44 passenger drop, but you can do it the exact same way with driver drop, just reverse it all, including the hose routing. I did my wife's YJ exactly the same way, just don't have pics.

A different mount on a spider 609 hybrid front end.

I think the histeer will be easier to mount than a regular setup, you'll have more room around the pumpkin. Here's how mine is mounted:

Here is how I mounted mine, I went off the diff cover and it has worked fine so far.

This is a HP44 narrowed to Waggy width under a TJ with the ORO AiRock air bag suspension. So making things fit was even more fun because I had to work around the air bags.

Here's mine. Sorry don't have closer shot right now. I plan to build a skid plate for protection under the ram. Not sure if I really need it though. The 1.5 x .25 tie rod would have to get bent first. Not that that can't happen. But if it does, I'm pretty much srewed anyhow :D

I just did the same thing to my 44, its a 3/4 driver side drop. we mounted the ram off of the passenger u-bolt, works very well. I'll follow shortly with pics.
