Installed a Grip Pod on my daughters AR. The front hand guard is a little loose. It's not a tight fit to begin with. Adding the vertical pod causes it to move just enough to be annoying.
Anyone know of a quick, easy fix for this?

JB Weld.
I might wanna take it apart someday.

I think he meant to build it up a little. It might take some epoxy or JB weld and some time with a file to get a good tight fit. That or get some better handguards. I have seen some that are loose and crappy and some that are nice and tight, depends on manufacturer really.

Free Float...
Aluminum tube or four rail type? My YHM four rail is tight as a drum. No free float forend should have that much play in it.

RM was suggesting to use a FF tube I believe.
Cabin Boy these are stock type plastic handguards that you painted correct?
Clean out the inside of the triangular stamped steel cap with brake clean or acetone. Put a very small amount of JB in the two lower corners and the bottom lip. Now sit and wait. Keep checking until its firm, but not yet hard. Take a little grease and put a very light coat on the end of the lower hand guard. Install the lower hand guard.
Or send me the upper with $50 and I will fix it for you. :D

What's a grip pod? Anything mounted to the factory handguards pretty much sucks.

interesting concept. I would never mount that to the factory AR handguard. :flipoff2:

I used to think they looked cheezy, but after looking at one at work and mess'n around with it, if I where to buy a forward grip it would be in the top running.
