Hey, I just picked up a 14 bolt for the right price, FREE!

I don't know what gear ratio it is, probably 4.10, or maybe 3.73. I couldn't see the pinion well enough to get a good count, but there are 41 teeth on the ring gear. Anyone know?

Randys R&P says the carrier break is 4.56. I need to run either 4.88s or 5.13s depending on which tire size I settle on. Anyone know where to get a 4.56 and up carrier? What are my other options for the carrier? This may take a while, so Randys may come out with a full spool, but if I can find one cheap enough I'd like to just find a stock carrier and weld it.

Now, I gotta find a D60 front to go with it!

Call DriveTrain Direct (888-584-4327) and get the thick gears made by Precision Gear. Or............ you can wait for the spool. :D

If it has 41 ring gear teeth, it's probably 4.10. You dont need to count the pinion teeth, the ratio is stamped into the ring. Like others said, keep your carrier and run the thick gears

uh, not neccessarily :flipoff2:

if there are 10teeth on the pinion, then you are correct.

if there are 11 teeth, then it is a 3.73.

Thanks guys,

I didn't know about the thick gear. Kewl. Thats the way I'll go. That and weld it. Makes it purty darn simple, huh?

Although it don't matter now, I'll check again, but didn't see a stamp.
