: hey sam, do me a favor?
road1will 06-21-2002, 08:23 PM if you could measure the distance from the back of the body to the part of the fender you cut that is at the bottom edge of the body, that would be great.
also, the distance from the center of the hub to the top of the body capping in the rear.
thanks a lot man, i appreciate it.
road1will 06-21-2002, 11:01 PM or if it would be easier, from the back edge of the door (at the very bottom) to the bottom of the fender cut out (where it meets the rockslider). i can figure the rest from there.
Strange Rover 06-23-2002, 09:39 PM I get 8inches from the back of the door to the start of the cutting and its about 37inches from the centre on the rear axle to the very top of the tub capping.
If you want I can take a picture from the side of the front wheel and another from the side of the rear wheel and you should be able to scale from there.

thatd be great...
you see, i have this evil plan involving a similar looking body to yours except using a 109 rear tub and a much longer WB. :D
road1will 06-24-2002, 11:37 AM oh yeah sam, also one from the front head on, and one from the rear head on as well. really cool, thanks a ton!

thanks
if you go 42s on your rover we are gonna have to hook up and find some trails that are actually challenging in the northeast :D
do you know of any that actually are worthy of 42s? would be funny cause for such a long time there were no rovers on anything bigger than a 37, now in a few months time there is one on 42s in AUS, one on 42s in NM, and two on 42s in northeastern north america :D
btw sam, thanks for the pics, and yeah, same measurement that BillaVista wanted!!! for you!
fugly 2 06-27-2002, 07:14 PM . Gday Sam. I like your new back arms. Nicely up out of the way too. Did you score a new pipe bender or did you borrow one to make that extra front hoop.:D .
alia176 06-27-2002, 08:17 PM Hey Sam,
My next vacation will be going to Oz just so I can see this monster in person. I might have to stay in your barn since I'll be broke getting there :flipoff2:

Strange Rover 06-28-2002, 11:05 PM WMS-WMS is 65.7in. And my absolute outside of tyre measurement is 83inches. Ive got 9.5in rims with a 4in backspace (also running about a 3in wheel spacers but the WMS measurement is taken from the mounting surface of the wheel on the outside of the spacer)
Fugly - yea finally extended the rear trailing arms, put an extra 400mm in them. The rear now works a whole lot better. Nope havent got a bender just cut and shut an old roll bar/roof rack the origionally came with the old series 2a.
alia176 - shiat yea come on down. Havent got a barn but got this shed that you can camp in :flipoff2:
