Got my Sumo gears from AAA today. I am stoked. These gears should put me at 115:1 :smokin: and give me more help in breaking my spindly axles.

I am a little nervous about relieving the t-case. Any advice before I get the dye grinder out? Instructions would have been a nice touch, at least for this part.

I think Geoff had a story on ORC about putting in the gears, I think it had pretty good pics.

If you cant find it just grind the crap out of it, if you see daylight, go back the other way. :D  You didn't really expect to get instructions for $1000.00??? I don't know what in hell is wrong with these people...sell something that requires major tweaking and no instructions. Ya gotta love the "aftermarket".

BTW everyone, Bill 4rest really DOES have a kick-ass designed and well-made t-case bucket for a good price. Seriously......

So, if you´re in the market, be sure to consider sending an order to him. Looks like he´s got a LOT of spare time on his hands, so you´ll get real quick delivery...

We have some instructions on the clearancing in the tcase for the 6:1 gears. They are for the 6:1 only, they come as a supplement to our standard gear instructions. We include some additional pieces in our kit that I don't think come in yours, but the installation is exactly the same.

If you'd like to have our instructions, send me an email at rro@ditell.com and I'll reply back to you with the supplemental instructions as an attachment later today.

Got the e-mail. Thanks for the instructions. Combined with the pictures from ORC, it should be a piece of cake :D

Not a problem. To date I think I've done about 25 installs on them and its really not tough at all. I use a rotary bit with wide spacing designed for aluminum. Takes me less than 5 minutes for both case halves nowadays :^)

If you do go too far and cut thru the housing, don't worry, the aluminum epoxy sold in hardware stores dries rockhard and works plenty well for a patch. I punched a hole in the transmission box of my Honda XR400R recently and used some of that stuff. Durable as all hell!

Good luck, have fun!
