Will gravity let all of the old fluid out when I disconnect the power steering lines or will have to move the wheel back and forth?

Is there any danger to the pump if I keep moving the wheel until all the fluid is out?

Oh yeah, my fluid is toast... TheLakeRat is setting me up with a new box/hyrdo assist... (don't tell the wife....) ;)

Hopefully gettin this done before my haul ass trip from Colorado to Tahoe for a Rubicon run Thursday and Friday..

Try pouring in more as you do it thats what your Haynes manual should say or just use a gear oil pump and suck most of it out if you pour in more as your buddy turns the wheel it never goes dry when the color changes your done

does this work if your going with a different fluid? i'm going to Amsoil tractor fluid next week. will the old steering fluid screw up the new fluid? i can't see getting all the old fluid out.
