I found this when I took the steering box apart. I don't know if this was caused by something I did when I took it apart or if it was like this before. Can I just grind it down and run it? I am going to be tapping this box for hydraulic assist. Where is everyone getting the clamps to hold ram to the tie rod?

Erik B and I made ours. I should have made mine out of thiner stock. It was hard to get it to clamp tight so I added a couple of set screws to it.

I cleaned the shop and layed everything down to figure what fittings I will need. Over all not to bad except I can not figure out what fitting is on the back of the astrovan/saginaw pump. Does anyone know what the fitting size is for the high pressure port?

Well I will be damned. Screwed the stock high pressure fitting from the toy box, which 16 x 1.5mm inverted flare, fit snug in the back of the saginaw.....

Several minutes later....yup that snug thing is only one way. The stock line from the pump does not like the toy box.

I found the fitting on the back of the pump to be 16mm-1.5 O-ring seal.

Why clamp it? Just make something like this.

I like the idea of the clamp so if god forbid I put in the wrong place I can move it and tweak it.

Why clamp it? Just make something like this.More percise toe in/out setting with the clamp. Toe in/out moves over a 1/16 inch on one complete rotation of the TR or DL. To each his own, I happen to like fabbing stuff.
