Well started my sas on my 90' reg cab shortbed chevy.
I will be running a 44 8 lug up front & 14 full float rear. As for hieght It will be apx 11", and I know that it is pointless but it figure I have a crawler, a tow rig so screw it. It is just a project to keep me busy through the winter. Here are so pic's so let me know what you think.http://a952.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/63/m_2453b0fdaad434678aea232152ecbf7f.jpg

Staring on the rear. Gonna go with a shackle flip, 5.5" block and run some traction bars.

Tryin to post up some new pic's but no luck so far. Ditched the chevy 44, went with hp 44 from 78-79 ford. Bought some 16.5x10 weld typhoons with 35"bfg muds. Bolted in a front d-shaft from 85' blazer and grinded the cv. It will hook up but doesnt have more than an inch to drop before it binds.

Lookin good. Why no 60? All that work, I would think you would want to go 60?no?

Ive been thinking of doin this swap on my burb. Glad to see you went with driver side drop. That passenger drop ads alot more crap to the swap.

I agree, why all this and no 60 in the front? Are you still running the stock t-case?

Ditch the Cv. Use your stock front shaft with the ring yoke from an older CV(like the one u have) it is easier to clearance. Clearance the center of the ring so the yoke will clear it. That is what I did and I was running about 10" suspension and the same front axle. This will allow more drop at the t-case than the front yoke will allow without clearance it some. If u are concerned about the strength of the yoke after clearancing it, it is still running today on another rig with the same front axle after I upgraded to rocks.

So take my flange from the cv and put it on my stock shaft? So you cut out the ball that keeps the stock cv centered correct.
60's are nice but thats the least of my worries right now. I can always swap one in later without issue. The 44 should hold up fine with new shafts.
