: A 5-Day "series"

Something I'm looking to do in mud, but would like input from competitors or fans of any discipline as every sport has many of the same concerns & issues.

The idea is for a 5-day race "series" - 5 events in 5 locations in 5 days with a champion crowned at the end of the week. To keep logistics in check, the competitions would be relatively short (2-3 hours a night), with no more than 300 miles of travel between each stop (less most days).

1) Assuming it was something you even wanted to do

2) Assuming you had plenty of notice as to the when & where

3) Assuming logistically & geographically it worked for you

4) Assuming you felt confident in the ability of the promoters to pull it off

Doable or not?

I think it would be a logistical nightmare, but in a "Made for TV" format, I think it is doable for your sport, not sure if it would work for ours.

Yeah, for mud the venue requirements are much easier to come by, and the course prep WAY easier as well. And I agree that some form of media backing would really help to make it a success. In your sport, I think down the road when you have more feeder series in place, with less distance in between them all, it could probably work. Would be a nightmare under today's circumstances I imagine.

Ideally, I'd like to do this as one big charity fund raiser, where some local civic group in each of the visited towns would get all the admissions $. Aside from the good will, it would also bring a ton of volunteer help to the event.
