I got a '73 (I think- it has open knuckles, disc brakes and pass side drop) D44 from a Cherokee Chief. Gotta get a new carrier. I need to know the spline count. Is it 30 spline?

I think it is 30 spline..I don't think that they made any other open knuckle front. (Did they ever make 19 spline fronts at all?:confused: )

You're right Scout Dude. The Dana 44 was never used in a front application prior to having 30 spline shafts.
