: hummer rims in any off-set??? YES!!!
SeaBass44 06-22-2002, 11:38 AM http://www.4wdfactory.com/
found this site, he water jet cuts centers for hummer rims and bolt patteren, you or he weld them in any off-set you weant, great how to do it yourself on the site too. He also sells the Hummer rims and run flats, says something abot cutting out the runflat webbing so the tire is locked on but the run flat will not pinch the tire and hurt it...I have never really seen one, so not + on that:) Looks like allot are going the hummer route, so I thought I would pass along the info.;)
offroadr35 06-22-2002, 11:58 AM this guy is on the board, i've emailed him about it. I forget the price though.

Garza 06-22-2002, 06:44 PM Old news dude, Jason Paule (Twisted Customs) has been doing it for a while now. They are on Don Robbins rig, Joeshins(sp?) rig (Dons old cruiser), of course Jasons, my buddies comp rig, several others. The article was in a Petersons a while back, and even then was a couple years old. Not being an ass, just thought id share :flipoff2: .

66CJdean 06-22-2002, 09:43 PM I will be having some made next week so if people want some let me know. The ones I am doing will have some style to them not just a steel ring though. The price wont be any more though and might even do better if more people than me want some.

www.twistedcustoms.com you may have to call Jason to get a hold of anyone though. Also like I said it was a big article in a past issue of Petersons this year. Even on the cover says how to run 16.5"wheels on the trail or something like that, they show him making them, and what he does. :p

$400 total, you cut out your centers and weld in new ones.
hahahahaha .so now who is selling this crap 4wd factory. 50 a center thats a rip off 50$ a rim and runflat hmmmmm...and i still have to cut and weld in which isnt so easy...need to make a jig or template .dean you let me know when you ready anybody else want some modified humvee rims im sure if we get alot of guys we can get a group buy from dean.hahahah:p :p

A rip off? You sell the same rim and run flat at $25 more each...........and you talk shit about a compertor? IO wouldn't buy from you for that very reason right there. Talk about your product, not down talk the other guy, it won't get you any sales bad mothing competors. And how much is your center? Do you even sell a center? No I'm not being rude, you are though. I hate shit talkers, Jack from JeepEater is like you, can't say a word without down talking Marlin, he seems toi think it makes his shit shine:rolleyes:
66CJdean 06-23-2002, 11:25 PM $50ea for rims and R/Fs' is a deal! and $50 for centers is not bad. The quotes I have got or from $65ea. to do to a little less but I need people to say they want some and then the price goes down some. I am mostly looking to do 8 lug right now but if people want some 5 or 6 then let me know and I can do up another print and get them done.
SeaBass44 06-24-2002, 10:41 AM Sorry guys I missread the add he had a set of runflats all rubber
two piece model for sale. Not the actual rim. These runflats are more difficult to find and he sold them for $200 for the set of 4.......His $ is $100 per rim and runflat......so I do apoligize for giving out the wrong $$$$:emb4: :emb4: :emb4: :emb4: :emb4: :emb4:
dude...listen to me i am not putting any body down that is why i said 50$ a rim hmmmmmmm... i can get as many rims and runflats as possible even the shit radial crap ones.but the centers i can have made here locally for a lot less then 50$ a center no doubt .i am not a business i understand i have no overhead but if you are going to be competive your pices have to be also.i know kascar is selling rims at 200$ a pop and daniel is selling his at 100$ a pop with the centers at 65$ .all the se guys doing the rims arent really doing anything speacial all it is a flat piece of 3/8 steel.no design which jason is doin and soon to be dean.also you need to make sure your calipers will fit with the straight centers .

I guess this is not a put down hu:confused:     you may be the nicest guy in the world, but look at what you post, you are not a buiss, but have an unlimited supply you are selling in 4sale, whitch by the way is the definition of a commerical ad, as in a buiss.
dude i am a shmuck trying to help out other's who want the rims .75$a complete rim is a great deal.not like i am selling humvee rims for a living hahahahah! i wish i can do that i would not have to get up early in the morning and deal with a jerk off.anyways if i hurt anyones feeling i am sorry and i hope 4wd factroy makes a killing hey this is great PR for them anyways
:p
gy4wdfactory 06-24-2002, 05:06 PM This Hummer rims are a lot of work. I would like to be able to do them cheaper. I could get the centers for cheaper if I had them manufactured in volume, but so far the demand has been to low. The rim must be bead blasted $$ or get all coating off myself (hours of work). Paint stripper doesn't work well and some of the rims have several layers of paint. Then a lot of the rims are bent to some degree which makes it harder to align. If someone thinks they can do these cheaper more power to them - high volume is the answer. Basically considering the time we don't make much.
gy4wdfactory 06-24-2002, 08:41 PM All the Hummer rims I've seen are 16.5 X 8.25. They are about 9.75" wide from the outmost edges. Properly they are a 8.25" wide. The back spacing looks to me to be about 6 inches. The factory stamped centers about 1/2" thick when you consider the shape created by the stamping. So if you flip them (I would not recommend this, definitely would not run them on the road) the back spacing would became 1.75" - they'll stick way out.
