Well I finally found my 98 4 door Tracker. It has the Calmini 3'' suspension lift, 30" Pro Comp muds. My plans for now are snorkle, locked front, welded rear, 2" BL, aftermarket front bumper w/Warn 9.5 TI, Aftermarket4x4 front skid and tank skid, slidders, which most is temporary as I will do a 4.3 swap with auto tranny and Toy axles. I doubt that I wont like it. I loved it in my Zuk and the 4 door should be even better. I have another 4.3 in the machine shop now and I might consider putting her on a diet and getting some aluminum heads? We will see. I want some power and the new 4.3 should be around 250HP that way if I want to sling rocks or mud I can. Ask about my rock throwing...LOL

Ok, yesterday we managed to pull the motor, tranny, tcase and all related goodies. For anyone interested the 16V weighs 232 lbs. dry no motor mounts, the 4 speed auto and tcase weigh 195 lbs. dry. My 700R4 with converter weighs 175 lbs. I have no weight for the 4.3 yet.

good numbers for weights.

I'll weigh my engine when I get it built and we can compare to the 4.3L. :grinpimp:

I am betting my new drivetrain consisting of an aluminum v8 (pushrod with plastic intake), 700r4, 2 speed atlas will weigh less than my current 2.7L, 4 speed auto, kicker 4, toy case, toy-d300 doubler, to dana 300

If I cant sell the complete setup I'll let you know.

only 2 cases: 4 speed auto|kicker 4 adapter|toyota low range box|toy-dana 300 adapter|dana 300 t-case.

with the 4 speed its about the same length (+/- 1.5") as my 3 speed/kicker 2 setup before.

I have been seperating the wiring harness to clean it up under the hood and all (seperating lights and things from engine). Pulling the dash to get to the wiring behind it is proving to be harder than I thought it would. My plans are to link it out. I have 16 Currie JJ's and tube ends for same, 4 Fox air shocks. I am open to suggestions and any pics someone would have of their link setups that would help in this project. I have never attempted anything like this before and have no idea where to start. Thanks Jim

I know but, I"ll have better gear options with this setup. The 4 speed atlas gearing sucks. I have heard of issues with the rear disconects? No coin involved, traded parts.
