I was just reading a couple of the mags which are just coming out with their Moab coverage. Some made passing mention of a 4Runner which did a major tumble down Lion's Back. Four Wheeler (August) even has photos, but none of the mags have any details on driver/passenger injury--were they ok? Are they recovering? Does anybody know? The photos I saw were pretty severe looking.

The board gets a "cleaning" every 40 days, so that info may not still be there...
The gal in the 4Runner was coming down Lion's Back when another rig started up. They met in the middle and they tried to pass by. The 4Runner lost traction and went for a ride. 3 girls if I remember right. Lots of bumps, bruises, and I think some broken bones. Apparently they are all OK and out of the hospital, but the 4runner is still down in the hole.

I think she was going up and tried to turn around when the other truck came down. Apparently the doofus who is supposed to keep track of who's on the rock was asleep at the switch.

It was a guy driving....and 2 female passengers. The fourth member of their group was the male that was spotting them. :roxy:

yep.
stock runner - bad spoting = got in a hole (when trying to pass ) runner dumped over and fell off the side..
everyone is ok, and runner actually held up really well, honestly if it had a internal cage I doubt it would have crushed the roof hardly at all....but it landed on a intermediate ledge...10 more feet to the right and it woulda been way way worse
