motor mounts, most likley tranny unless is already has a c-6 or 4speed, maybe drive shaft, radiator maybe, some other odds and ends.

Why wouldn't you be needing a tranny if it has either of these two options? The bellhousing bolt pattern between a SBF and a BBF is different unless I'm not aware of something?

motor mounts, trans with big block bell housing, depending on what the doner motor is from you may need an oil pan, headers or manifolds, front accessory brackets, and a hundred little parts that allways slip my mind. If you plan to use a stick trans you will need the proper flywheel internal or external balance depending on the year of the motor. This swap is very common and I bet if you do a SEARCH on here you will find enough info to make your head spin.

did the search, too many 4x4 swaps to sort through. I just wanted to make sure I didn't have to cut up the engine compartment or something that everyone here knows that I just may have missed. thanks though!

Why go BBF, with $4 gas on the horizon.....Pull the 302 and either do a full rebuild or spend the money on a crate motor:

nice 302

its a daily driven project, hopefully it will be a desert truck within a year with a full cage, fiberglass, and nice suspension. A 302 is a nice little motor but a 460 has a lot more potential, plus I want a fairly reliable 350-400 horsepower that is cheap. I can do that with iron heads and stock rotational componants on a 460.

gas prices suck, but I am getting a xr600 or 650 for a street bike, I had a 650l and driving it fast I was getting 40+ miles per gallon, the truck is for hauling bikes to go ride and get me around in the rain.

that would be great! I've never removed or installed any motor bigger than a volkswagen flat 4 so can you describe what they are or maybe just show me a picture? how much shipped to 91789?
