so iam in the prosess in swaping out my th400 for a sm465.. im wondering if i can use my t case which was bolted to the th400 for the sm465 as well, so my drive shafts will be the same. anyone done the auto to standard swap have any pics?? thanks for your time

what Tcase is it, Im assuming its a np 208 or an np205 and hopefully your new 465 is a 32 spline output

You will need a 32 spline SM465 and the adapter for your transfer case.

Your best bet is to find a complete setup.

the short th400/np205 input in the transfer case wont work well with the sm465 trans output, as the shaft doesnt engage harldy at all (edit:if at all). that, and you cant use the racetrack pattern on a 32 spline sm465... can ya?

i need to do some measuring...
