Trying to decide what, if any, mods I should do to my tranny. Some background: Build a 383 stroker for my K10. Kind of a multipurpose rig serving as tow rig/hottrod/off-road. For reference there are lots of hills around where I live. Right now I have 3.08 gears and 33inch tires. Now I'm putting a freshly rebuilt TH400 in with a NP208. I'm thinking of putting in a manual valve body and different torque converter. Crane Cams recommended a stock torque converter. However, TCI recommends this: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=TCI%2D241602&N=700+115&autoview=sku. I'm also looking at http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=TCI%2D222400&view=1&N=700+150+. Here is my cam card: http://www.cranecams.com/index.php?show=browseParts&action=partSpec&partNumber=100052&lvl=2&prt=5.

Approximate dyno curve:

Should I get the manual valve body and different torque converter? Would it be worth the cost?
