That 55 is looking pretty good .Couple of questions about it though. Is he going to change the front springs? The shackle is angled back quite a ways. Also, the alternator belt doesn't make much contact the way it is mounted. I had one like that & the belt always slipped. Please keep us posted on the progress.:)

front springs are stock and flat, not much growth when compressed, he has lonnng shackles for extra droop.
he is planning an idler pully for the alt.

the steering box is a scout. super clean install too.
The front springs are stock 55s. with a shacle reversal and the
shackle is kicked back for maximum droop. works awesome.
Also the rear springs are the super long chevy springs (63"?)

All of you that know Don, knows he does super clean work, that is beefy.

don's computer totally sh*t the bed and he's been slacking about getting another one. on top of that the engine in his comuter blew up so he started driving the 45 wagon on a daily basis; guess what; that engine took a dive after 2 weeks also. so he spent his money on another comuter and not a PC.
he's shacking up with 69cruzer (next door anyways) these days but i'll let him know that you don't need the h41 anymore. i think he was hoping to put it in the 45 anyways. ;)

Don's 55 is looking BAD ASS. Don, if you can read this: good job! I'm looking forward to seeing it on the trail.

I think about making my 55 top-less from time to time, and I really want to put it on bigger tires. I'm glad to see Don got there ahead of me.

Last I heard he was going to be running Dana axles, but those look like cruiser axles.

Did he ever get his plastic water can? I think it was going to travel the Brian->Georg->Don route.

don is still without computer. he's still running cruiser axles and the water jug made its way back to him.

I think the cruiser axles are a temporary thing.
Hes still talking about going 1 ton, in the future. :D
