ya you better learn to read up on Cherokees before you decide what you are going to do.the tooth pick axles are not going to hold up to 37's.not saying they can't be run but don't expect them to last.

better start saving your money Cherokees are not cheap to lift

lets start by asking what type of jeep did your cousin have? what year?

as for 35's it can be done but you are still pushing your luck.this also depends on what axles are under the Cherokee you buy.

Find ford axles D44/D60 TNT Customs Trusses

TNT Customs 5.5inch lift and Ylink

trim the fenders and run the 37 Bajas

save your pennies because once the build begins you will not want to stop spending and it you will be dead broke

Do a few hundred hours of searching on the internet you will find out anything you need to know,...

dont touch skyjunker lifts

ya well a 2003 Rubicon is not 1996 Cherokee now is it.don't base anything you know about your cousin jeep's to a cherokee.

superlift is not any better for lifting a Cherokee

you're a day late :shaking:

1996 Cherokee Sport Saftied 4.0L H.O. A/T 4x4- Immobolizer installed. No Rust!!! 190,000

Mother of god... $4500 would be a rip off for that piece. Around here you can find a 94-95 wiht 80k miles for that much. Even 97+ for 5500+ with 100k...

If you are going to daily drive anything, I'd recommend with a cherokee no more then a 3.5" Rubicon Express Super Flex lift on 31" tires.

For a silverado, get a fabtech 6" lift and get 35" tires (37" if you trim) and that would DD fine. Just won't wheel rocks worth a crap.

Thats price would be Canadian and the 190,000 in kilometers.

I saw that after I posted but my internet has been shitty and apparently my Replay did not make it :) 190km = 118k miles.

And right now...

Live rates at 2007.11.07 22:08:33 UTC

1.00 USD = 0.930359 CAD

I know things are generally more expensive in canada anyways.

Seeing how this has moved from you wondering about a jeep to wondering about what 4x4 to get this should probably move to the newbie general 4x4 section. But in my opinion, get a Jeep. I'm biased, yes, but even my stock Jeep was the best vehicle I've ever owned. Loved it.

Get a cherokee and throw some bfg all terrains on it. Your not even old enough to drive so why even bother with a lift especially if you want it to be a DD?

I should have stopped reading at the "Im not old enough to drive" part.... but I read further so now you must read my post :flipoff2:

First, Thanks for waisting 5min of my life, I am now older, less attractive, and dumber after reading this post.

Second, I think you should stick to Velcro rather then laces, or even sandals or rain boots, but not laces. The whole swoop loop thing, its really confusing.

Third, Stick to the ugly girls who ware laces or pretty girls with Velcro.
