I just got 99 Escalade Gauges for my 98 K1500 Z71. I'm trying to figure out if anyone knows how to set the correct mileage, or if it requires a dealer, or if I'm out of luck altogether on this one. I can plug these in now and they'd work (i haven't yet, but the plugs seem to match) but I'd like to set the mileage first. lemme know your thoughts.

I am not sure the dealer can adjust them or be willing to due the the mechanical odometer. But them being mechanical you might open it up an roll it back. If th mileage less then what you have now then just plug it n and run it!
Only difference then the one you have now is the speedo goes to 120.

I noticed that.... I really only did it because my gauge cluster has a crack, these look better, and they were cheap. I got em for less then $50. down side is, if I don't change the mileage, I'll be adding 17,000 miles to my truck. I only have 93,816 now and I have 111, 300 on the new cluster. I'd like to keep the lower mileage :) how can I open the cluster? I can't figure out how to get the back of the gauges open without breaking them.

I think you have to crack them open, its been a while since I have seen the back of mine. I would use you old cluster as a test bed then swap in the new one when you figure it out.
